Ricardo Sousa is a 18-year-old passion-driven award-winner web developer, consultant, and entrepreneur.

Currently Ricardo is the organizer of the conference he founded, SWITCH Conference, and the co-founder and CEO of AiediLabs, the company behind the recently launched startup Cortiza. Ricardo is also a Microsoft Student Partner and a speaker and blogger on themes such as teen entrepreneurship, XXI century education or tech in education.

Being passionated by how education systems work nowadays, Ricardo just started the “Movement for Change in Education”, a movement of people worldwide committed to take action and demand an education model that better prepares today’s students for tomorrow’s challenges.

His entrepreneurial endeavors and webdevelopment projects have been featured in the media, including portuguese state TV, top news radio and newspapers in the same country, or in sites such as TheNextWeb or SmashingMagazine. Microsoft and Sapo have also awarded Ricardo in the past.

Was Former Editor-In-Chief of Rascunhos Newspaper, founder and advocate of the Textos & Companhia project, President of the Student Union of ESCSAL and participant in the Portuguese Youth Parliament as spokesman.
